It is all because of Boba
Fett. He survives the Sarlacc by
crawling through its digestive tract living off the flesh of the other victims.
When he emerges from the beast he walks the desert and in the dunes he finds a herd
of Sandworm (Yes one from Dune) he tames the beast and rides it to Mos Eisley. When he makes it to the space port was he
finds it destroyed by the empire because of it’s scum an villainy. Fett realizes his lover Lyn Me was killed by the attack and he focuses on
trying to change the past and bring her back.
The Kaminoan had cloned Jango Fett but not to a tee. The Kaminoan spliced in the genes from themselves making Boba more intelligent then his DNA Daddy. Boba uses the sandworm to collect spice making a fortune and uses the credits to make a warp drive to add to the back/bottom of Slave 1 (He retrieved Slave 1 from Jabbas castle) Using the warp drive Boba intends to collapse time and space back on itself creating a wormhole that he can travle back in time. When Boba uses the drive he miscalculates and pulls the wrong space locations making a wormhole not back by Tatooine instead it transported him forward in time billions of light-years away in the Milky Way galaxy. That is where Packard comes in and how they crossover.
